LuxLive 2018

Europe’s biggest free annual lighting event is at the ExCel Centre, London, on 14-15 November

This year’s LuxLive exhibition has plenty to offer delegates. Visitors can compare the latest products and lighting technology, and see how leading companies are driving lighting change.

The show is said to feature the largest education programme ever seen before in the lighting industry, with a show floor packed with panel debates and sessions from the experts.

Eight free conference tracks and more than 100 expert speakers will cover crucial topics including emergency lighting, safer cities, lighting for transport and infrastructure, workplace and wellbeing lighting and much more.

Escape Zone

Are you accountable for the emergency lighting in your buildings? As the ‘responsible person’ under the Fire Safety Act, it’s also down to you to manage the risk assessments, testing, maintenance and all the associated documentation. The dedicated Emergency Lighting conference, part of LuxLive, is bringing together the top experts in the field to answer all the key questions.

Safer Cities

Lighting has long been a tool in the fight against anti-social behaviour, vandalism, crime and suicides in our cities. Increasingly we are beginning to understand that brighter lighting is not always better; it’s the intelligent application of lighting – both static and dynamic – that is creating the real breakthroughs and leading to reductions in both crime and the fear of crime in our urban environments.

Lighting for Museums and Galleries

The LED lighting revolution is rapidly arriving in museums and galleries, bringing with it a whole array of functionality beyond simple illumination. Smart controls and LEDs are changing how we think about lighting and how we successfully light the world’s most precious objects and artworks. This event will bring together world experts to explore how to create a great visitor experience in our museums and galleries.

Workplace Wellbeing

Despite conventional wisdom, workplaces are deceptively difficult places to light well. They are also one of the few categories of lighting with solid restrictions. Few will suffer if your building façade is lit to 20 lux not 50, but make a similar mistake in the workplace and you could have a lawsuit. This conference will show you how to create great spaces that boost productivity and wellbeing.

Retail and Hospitality

Return custom is crucial for retail, hotel and restaurants – and the right lighting is the easiest way to achieve it. This special conference will explore how to use light to enhance brand values, create customer engagement and boost sales and will alsol explore case studies where the right lighting has boosted sales.

Transport and Infrastructure

There are more than 720 major transport and infrastructure projects in the pipeline in the UK, offering a once-in-a-generation opportunity to deliver best practice lighting that will represent innovation, value and a human approach to creating welcoming and effective spaces.
